After you have downloaded the file setup.exe, run it to start the installation program and follow the instruction.
SS HourMeter is installed in your system as a SERVICE, so, installation procedure, at the end, installs the SSHourMeter service and you will receive a message "SSHourMeter: installed successfully", click OK. After Service Installation, the program starts it. Installation sends you a message to remember you that SSHourMeter service started.

You can verify that SSHourMeter started by its icon on tray bar

When SSHourMeter is working, double click on icon in tray bar to open the time window. In this window you can find a lot of information:

In window head, near Version number, you can find the total work time of computer in format DDDD:HH:MM:SS. The DDDD digits represents the number of days, in this case 0000. The HH digits represents the hours, in this case 02. The MM digits represents the minutes, in this case 18. The SS digits represents the seconds, in this case 19. This means that the computer works since 0 days, 2 hours, 18 minutes and 19 second.

The window displays information in three columns: Start time - Stop time - Time in use.
Every rows represents a single work session of computer, with Start Time, Stop Time (in which the date is in format day/month/year and time in format hours:minutes:seconds) and Time in use with the same format DDDD:HH:MM:SS.

For example, the first row represents the first work session, started in 12/01/2005 at 08:46:24, ended in 12/01/2005 at 10:50:02 for 2 hours, 5 minutes and 42 seconds.
The current work session is the last row, where Start Time is highlighted. Stop time ad Time in use are continuously calculated.

As we said before, SSHourMeter is installed in your computer as a System Service, so, if you want to start, to stop or to pause the execution of SSHourMeter, you must open the Services windows. To find it follow these path:

Settings / Control Panel ...

... Administrative Tools ...

... Services.

Click on Services to open the window and search for SSHourMeter. You will see some information about the service, as the Status (Started) and the Startup Type (Automatic). Automatic startup means that SSHourMeter will start when Windows starts.

In this window you could:

- pause the SSHourMeter service:

If SSHourMeter is in pause mode, the icon in tray bar becomes red

- start the SSHourMeter service:

- stop the SSHourMeter service:

If you stop the SSHourMeter service, the icon in tray bar disappears.

- restart the SSHourMeter service (this operation attemps to stop and to start the service at the same time):

You could access these operation also by double clicking on SSHourMeter service name. This open the following window in which all the possible operations have a button:

NOTE: SSHourMeter will create a new record evey time you stop and then restart the service.

To uninstall SSHourMeter, click on Start menu and search for StephenSoftware/SSHourMeter program group.

Then, click on Uninstall SSHourMeter.

SSHourMeter is a Service, so, if you forget to stop and uninstall it from system before uninstallation, Uninstallation program stops and uninstalls it for you ad sends you this message:

Click OK to proceed.
At the end of uninstallation, the Uninstall program sends you this message. Click OK to proceed with the Uninstall program.

When SSHourMeter trial period expires, you could choose to buy an yearly activation code to continue to use SSHourMeter.
After expiration, when you start SSHourMeter, it displays you the window in the image below, with license number.

Go to sshourmeter.stephensoftware.it and click on to open the License purchasing or renewal page.

Copy and Paste the license number that SSHourMeter gives you in the field (see the previous and the next images).

Then click "proceed >>" button to go to module.

If you are buying an activation code for the first time, the module will be blank. If you are renewing a previous license, all of module fields will be filled with your data.

When module will be ready, click the "Confirm" button to go to pay with Banca Sella gateway (Banca Sella is an italian Leader Bank for ecommerce). After paying operation, if all will be right, you will receive an email with activation code (a string in format XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX), like this:
